My last daily gratitude list - its long today, hang with me :-) 1. I am immeasurably thankful to serve a God who saves. He looked at my sinful life and loved me enough to die so I could be with Him forever. If He never did anything else for me, that is all I need; however, my God, my almighty God, also loves me enough to want an intimate relationship with me. Wow! He is powerful enough to save me, yet loving enough to care about my daily ups and downs. What an amazing God!!! 2. As crazy as it sounds, I am grateful for my body image. Gone are the days I needed to strive for perfection. God used my body to create two beautiful sweet children, and I am incredibly thankful. I am in awe of what my body could do as God brought these two into being. I now go to the gym because I want to be strong and healthy and a good role model, NOT bc I am driven to look a certain way. 3. My heart is thankful every day to have been raised by my parents. Jean Wortman and Charles Wortman taught me to be kind, caring, responsible, and respectful. They showed me daily what self sacrificing love looks like. They instilled in me a work ethic that helps drive me (nothing lazy about a Wortman), and they taught me to always consider the feelings of others. I am who I am today bc of the boundaries and support that they gave me. I never had to question if they were there for me, I merely had to reach out and take their outstretched hands. That holds true today. 4. I am grateful for my husband, Brian Rodgers. Marriage is hard. People who say it isnt are lying. Blending two lives and two personalities and two backgrounds is not for the faint of heart. I am thankful that we havent given up on each other. Life is not how we pictured, planned, or hoped it would be, but our life is wonderful nonetheless. I have more than many people dream of with my husband and children. My heart overflows. 5. You. I am thankful for you. If you are reading this, you are clearly a friend of mine. If you werent a friend, you wouldnt have cared enough to read this post. I have amazing friends. I dont see them often enough, and I dont have much time to talk any more, but we are friends at heart, so I am counting you as a blessing I am thankful for. You touch my life in some way no matter if you know it or not, and I am grateful. Whew! I completed my five days of gratitude. I challenge anyone reading this to try it. Consider yourself tagged. All of you :-) five days, three things each day, tag three friends each day. Have fun!!
