My last post for the night, bear with me. This corpus was bought from a dealer in Tiendesitas when it had just opened years ago, and wasnt yet the repro -haven that it has become today. It measures only 12 inches in height and the arm span is 10 inches. The molave is the rich, dark color of chocolate. What I love about this piece is the conception and execution of the corpus,as well as the lightness and grace of the body and the loincloth. 18th century, possibly even earlier.
