My last relationship was in 2011 and Ive only been on 1 date since then. A lot of people think my life is depressing and lonely because of that, but understand that Ive stayed single this long by choice. I take a lot of pride in the fact that Ive been able to keep myself together and handle my own without needing a man to make me feel secure, useful, successful, complete, etc. This period of singleness hasnt been a time of bitterness or promiscuity; its been a time of preparation. A time to better myself as a woman and for whoevers out there for me. With confidence, I can now say I feel like I have every right to have high standards and deserve a good man because Ive worked hard on myself and know my value. Anyway, just wanted to write a POSITIVE post about the single experience because so many people act like its the worst thing to be. As much as Id love to have someone right now, Id much rather wait on whats meant to come to me at the right time...
