My last two posts, and now a third are a direct result of my studys of the HYPER-GRACE Movement which seem to go so far as to make our HOLY GOD deaf, dumb, and blind to the sins of humanity... Jesus did not come to DESTROY the Law, but to FULFILL it.. Matthew 5:17.. So how is it that Christians are not under the LAW but under GRACE? Grace signifies the GOOD NEWS of the GOSPEL. The LAW was a system of JUST but AWFUL SEVERITY. God had wise and HOLY designs in establishing it. THE LAW was introduced toTHE JEWS, not that they may be JUSTIFIED by it, but that it might become a SCHOOLMASTER (Galatians 3:24) to teach them how far they fell short of obedience, and to bring them to Christ. TODAY Christians are not under THE LAW, but we are DEAD to THE LAW (Romans 7:4) we are DELIVERED from THE LAW (Romans 7:6)... These expressions are not to suppose that we are DISCHARGED from OBEDIENCE, but that Christians are NO LONGER under THE LAW as a COVENANT. Christians possess GREATER ADVANTAGES for the DESTRUCTION of sin than those who lived under THE LAW. While THE LAW justly demanded obedience, it offered NO AID for the PERFORMANCE of it. It offered NO HOPE for a PARDON in the case of disobedience. Gods Grace ALTERED THE LAW. As Christians, we ARE NOT called to Mount Sinai to hear the TERRIBLE THREATENINGS of THE LAW, but we are come to Mount Zion where GRACE is warped up in MERCY...
