My latest column for National Parks Traveler is on line now. This month, my friend and fellow photographer, Bernie Scates, helps me tell our side of the story about the Elk Reduction Hunt in Grand Teton National Park. This is a true horror story and not one that belongs in any of our national parks. Bernie provided some fabulous photos of this years hunt that show exactly what visitors will encounter at this time of year while they are out there looking for beautiful scenery and wildlife. I have encountered the elk hunt twice but have never witnessed anything like the awful bloodbath that took place last week. Please read the column and let us know what you think.
