My leftover plate of last night’s Marthafest spaghetti at 12:20 sloshed down with the last of the Bogle mixed red and the newspaper today, oh boy. It turns out during Marthafest I missed RIP John Lennon posts from Marquette chums David Hoose and Frank Schmidt and Tolkien & Thomas Merton friend Matt Fisher so I had to ask Brandon to winkle them in. Dion’s was the first and best with revelation about Lennons Rubber Soul leather jacket and why he and Bob Dylan are the only two American singer-songwriter-rockers on the cover of Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Jo Foster naps on the couch now, knackered by her long Monday out. So I type quite quietly so she can doze under the Yule tree’s red and blue lights.
