My letter to Freightliner, long read but worth it lol. I have been driving for twenty years. Ive driven just about every truck out there, and have owned a few Freightliners. I am now a company driver for Dominos pizza, and just had the pleasure of driving a 2014 Cascadia. I have to say that in the twenty years of driving, this is without doubt, the best truck I have ever driven, and I dont give praise lightly. You guys have found the perfect balance between ride and handling, and the truck turns on a dime. Its quiet, the blind spots are almost nil, and most importantly, the cup holders actually hold your cup. For years I had to find things to use tape on, so I could get to the core of the tape, and stuff it in that useless shelf you called a cupholder. Ok, so that was the build, here comes the burn. Which one of you knuckleheads designed the curtain for the sleeper? Come on, one little snap to hold a seven foot vinyl curtain to the wall, and some cheesey Velcro in the middle that when its rolled up sticks to the curtain itself so you have to run your finger down 7 feet of curtain to use it? If anything, put a better grade of Velcro on the wall, and use the buttons in the middle. Preferably, use the old method, which was one of the only things that worked on the old freightliner models, of multiple buttons on the wall, and the magnet strip in the middle. It just blows my mind that you could build such a beautiful machine, and than the engineers must have been exhausted, and blown it on such a simple detail. [email protected]
