My letter to the SMH today: Its not too hard to arrange visas for the 6,000 refugees we resettle from refugee camps every year, yet Mr Morrison has said its too hard to do that for the parents of Leo Seemanpillai to come to his funeral. In fact hes said he doesnt want any refugees like Leo here and is sending them all back to that country where international investigations into the persecution, torture, disappearances etc. of Tamils today continues. That is why Leo killed himself. Clearly our immigration minister doesnt value Tamils very highly to treat them so disdainfully. Perhaps he just doesnt like non-whites. But Im guessing those saved by Leo s donation of his organs might have a higher opinion of him.
