My life-13 * Philile was a triplet of 3 girls herself. Unfortunately at the age of 5 one of them got hit by a speeding car right in front of them while they were playing outside the yard, and that incident never left her mind. She grew up more like a Tom Boy. Used to fight with guys protecting her twin sister Mbalenhle. I say twin cause they were now 2. Her twin sister was sick, HIV positive. When I would speak with her on the phone I could feel Mbalenhle was fighting a losing battle. She was a sweet lady. When growing up Philile was the one protecting Mbalenhle but now it was the other way round. Mbali was protective of Philile. I liked her cause when ever we had a misunderstanding me and Phili she didnt take sides. Me : Wow babe 3boys and 3 girls! What more can we ask for? Phili: I forgot to tell you, I wont make it to joburg. Mbali got admitted in hospital she needs me. My fiancee is also coming tomorrow. Me : Its ok I understand, I will also come and visit weekend. Pass my love to her. Tell her to get well soon. *After that call, I realised I was in too deep, I had to take charge of the situation. I was gonna be a daddy which ever way I looked at it. I had to get prepared. Now that I knew its girls and triplets, I decided to go shopping, yes I am gonna be a daddy. I played the music loud singing and dancing. When was done cleaning I decided will go do the shopping at Southgate mall, mind you that is where I first met Phili. It was my first time doing shopping for babies clothes but it was fun. I enjoyed every minute of it. Later took a taxi back home. I called Philile as soon as I got home, the tone in her voice was full of fear, I could feel she was scared. I hated the long distance, how I wished to hug and comfort her, tell her everything will be OK. So I promised her to be in the first taxi the next morning. The next day 10:15am was getting off the taxi in Polokwane. I took a local taxi to the hospital, went straight to the ward number she gave me. As I walked into the ward I saw her sitting on a chair by the corner. She was pale, she had lost too much weight . You could swear she was one of the patients. I felt tears roll down my cheeks. She was all by herself and had not gone home since the day before. I quickly wiped off the tears and walked straight to where she sat. When she saw me she quickly got up, I opened my arms for her. I hugged her and she cried uncontrollable. Me: You can cry bby its ok. Phili:..... she is not gonna make it........ Me: She will pull through babe, Im worried about you. Did you get anything to eat? Phili: I havent eaten since yesterday morning. I dont have the strength and appetite. Me: You need to eat babe, how is Mbali? Phili: Not good babe. *She took me to the bed where Mbali was sleeping. They say you must not lose hop, but things were not good, she was on life support machine, a lot of pipes were stuck into her body. I hugged Phili and we walked out to get some breakfast. We sat down at the hospital Kanteen and ordered coffee and toast. We didnt talk the whole time we were having breakfast. Then her phone rang, she looked at the screen and looked at me, I looked back at her with puzzled eye* Phili: Its him *She answered the call. I heard her say Im at the hospital then heard her say OK then see you soon then hung up * Phili: You better go he is on his way here, he said he is by the hospital gate..........
