My life-long dream of saving the world has died. Instead, my hopes - TopicsExpress

My life-long dream of saving the world has died. Instead, my hopes are to write a few meaningless articles in the Onion, exposing the absurdity of humanity. In a vision, which occurred to me in heavy traffic behind a Diesel truck burning bio-fuel rendered from the renderings of fine establishments like, McDonalds, Long John Silvers, and Kentucky Fried Chicken, the fate of human-kind and all life on Earth was revealed. The world will not so much come to an end, as it will dissolve into the primordial ooze from whence we came. Devolution has already begun, in the realm of religious memes and social infrastructure. Quite tangibly, our very thoughts are melting into a virtual ooze, which will traverse the astral plane into reality. The melting process will continue, affecting the half-zombies first. Once the process begins, it is unstoppable. Normal, healthy people will be dissolved on contact with the melting or melted members of our doomed race. For now, the best we can do is prolong the nightmare, or perhaps postpone our own destruction by avoiding FOX News, making a conscious decision to read humorous, intelligently written nonsense, and avoiding physical contact with people we know that are of the other persuasion. Its OK to take a jog around the neighborhood, but dont step in any glowing green or red puddles. Ebola is just a symptom of this phenomena. We can side-step Ebola, but we will all have to face the muse of destruction, eventually.
