Even when your silky hair goes wild That it resembles sisal sprouts Or loses its darkness And goes amok in white patches, I will still let my fingers filter through In perpetual motion In utter devotion. Even when love is dead Burried in perpetual oblivion Forgotten and long gone I will not forget The stutters and stummers At your sudden sight The pulsating sensation Of your electric touch... When music ceases That I cannot sing of my love for you That I cannot serenade you to sleep Nor wake you to my rythmical heartbeat I will still remember How to play the chords of thy heart. Even when the pen is dry And ink is extinct That I cannot write of my undying love On refined tree products I will use my finger upon the sands In bold, underlined, in italics For the birds in the sky And the stars up high To see, marvel and sigh. My love I know these may seem mere words Words that will not place food on the table Nor clothe you with the latest fashion trends Words that may not love you till morning light Nor quell our anniversary fights. These words I copied and pasted From the hard drive of my brain That stores all those magical moments When we make stupid faces in front of the mirror When we dance ballet in our undergarments To the beats of our mouths. When we act imaginary movies before the walls And laugh at our lame punchlines. When we laugh at how we laugh And love how we love. When we just want to be alone To embark on our trips to the future... A future That I believe in A future That can only get better!
