My love for Ambassador Weah has just increased due to my research - TopicsExpress

My love for Ambassador Weah has just increased due to my research on how disputed elections have been resolved in Africa. In September of 2008, a disputed election in Zimbabwe ended with the creation of a position(Prime Minister) for the leading opposition. Morgan Tsvangiri was accommodated into government at the expense of the masses he claimed believed in him for this position. In April the same year(2008), Ralia Odinga of Kenya accepted the post of Prime Minister in a Power Sharing government also at the expense of those that believed in him. Unlike Amb. Weah who is considered uneducated, he has maintained his relationship and sustained his confidence with his people with his simple phrase, for the sake of peace. That has reduced him to a laughing stock by most of the young people that are mortgaging their future now. But what Sen. Weah behavior reminds me of is a Bible story of two women who were contesting over a child. Accordingly, the Kings decision that resulted into him finding the real mother was simple but impaction. Lets divide the kid into half, the real mother refused and offered that the fake mother have the child just for the sake of his/her life. To sustain our peace, he(Sen. Weah) painfully gave Liberia to her step-mother, yet the International Community did not rule like wise King Solomon. But thank God that today the Liberian people will have prevailed. Long live Amb. Sen. Weah, long live Liberia...
