My lovely aunt Laura Turner has challenged me to post 10 fun facts about myself to share with you all....so here goes. Arent these games fun? 1. My real first name is JESSAMYN. Yes, our daughter is named after me - my middle name is Kyla and one of my grandparents didnt want me to get called Jesse, so she refused to call me Jessamyn, so Kyla it is! 2. I am a natural born redhead...my hair has darkened over the years. 3. I have spent half my life in Ottawa and half in Campbellford. I lived in Ottawa until I was 15, moved to Campbellford till I was 21, back to Ottawa till I was 30, and back here until now (after a brief stop in Belleville). 4. My passions are photography, art, music and French. I had hoped to be either an artist (likely a starving one, Ive been told), or a French teacher. Neither came to pass, but I am happy to be right where I am, with my beautiful children and husband - none of whom I would have if I had done either of those things. 5. I am an only child, though I have had 3 stepbrothers in my lifetime - all older than me. 6. I am a Jill of all trades...Ive been a fast-food server, waitress, cook, bartender, daycare provider, cosmetician, estates secretary, freelance web designer, and a home/business cleaner....yep, a bit of everything...haha. 7. My best friend in the world is my husband - weve been together as a couple for 23 years this year and I am a lucky lady. 8. I have travelled as far as Australia and Hawaii, but Ive not been outside the provinces of Ontario and Quebec....hopefully one day Ill make it to each coast. 9. I am 100% in love with my family and friends and grateful for both - I have always worn my heart on my sleeve, and if you have a friend in me, you can trust that this will be something you can always count on. 10. My sports of choice are swimming and downhill skiing (havent done it in years and hopefully will get back to it some day). Have a great day~ Kyla
