My body is the vehicle, my brain is the engine and my spirit(consciousness) is then driver. The body stimulates the brain instead of the brain stimulating the body. The body should be an instrument of the mind but instead the mind is forced to act on the impulses of the body. We must first become masters of our mind so that we may then master the body. I would argue that because our mind is a slave to the body our spirit(our essence, our creativity, consciousness) has become a prisoner too in the brain.
