My mind is completely blown by the insane decision to shut down I-65 for hours yesterday to re-enact the death of a police officer . I have the utmost sympathy for the slain officer and his family. But the idiots who are responsible for stopping thousands of people from getting to the airport, to work, to doctors appointments , to their kids graduations and who knows what else should be sued.It personally cost me over $100 , cause I could not get to a teaching appointment and could not get back home for the next one. There was no indication when I got on 1-65 near Franklin that I would not be able to get anywhere near downtown Nashville. Im sure thousands of people were adversely affected, and would guess some were put in a potentially life-threatening situation by this ridiculous decision.
