My mom, Martha Wear Dewald, is a very special person. She once saved our little Cairn Terrier Frosty from a dog attack; she carried him, running as fast as her little legs would take her, all the way home through the woods. She did wet her pants but that mattered not; he was safe. When I was older she took me to a Tina Turner concert, though Im sure she had no interest in that music. The rowdy folks in front of us were blocking my view so she stood right up to them and told them to sit the hell down (I have added the obscenity for your reading pleasure). I thought there would be a throw down but it never came to blows (I think she couldve taken them). I believe I recall her yelling out You better be good to me, but maybe not. She can tap dance on command like its nobodys business and she enjoys a prank call as much as my friends and I do (did). Youd never guess that shes 71 years old today, much to the credit of my dad and his mad hair coloring skills (he prefers to be called Mr. George, please and thank you, when hes working his hair magic). Happy birthday Mom! I love you very much! Thank you for bringing me up in a home filled with lots of laughter and Kenny Rogers. 🎼Something always told me you were reading Buirl Bill wrong🎤
