My mom had her appointment today with the surgeon. She has to have surgery on her neck and upper spine. The good thing is it is a quick surgery, 2 hrs, up in 24 hrs, limited for a week and then no heavy lifting for 6 weeks. This surgery will take out 3 of her vertebrae and remove the nerves that are being crushed between them, they will replace the bone and then put a plate in. Its a small incision and she will not have a major scar or anything. Looking at doing it within the next 4 weeks.
