My mom is headed home from the hospital today. Good news, right? Well Im not so sure. I kinda feel like she is being pushed out too soon and it ticks me off. She can walk, eat and drink a little with help but needs 24-7 care. She can string 2 or 3 words together but still has major speech issues. I know shell be happier at home and maybe, therefore, progress more quickly. HOWEVER, she had a MAJOR stroke and Kaiser gave us a one-hour notice that they were sending her home!!! We have 1 hour to figure out how were going to manage 24-7 care!!! When I complained, the doctor said its a fluid situation and that she is ready to go home...apparently RIGHT NOW! I kind of feel like it all comes down to money. Dammit, my mom & dad have paid for health insurance for 60+ years and now they need it they should be able to use it.
