My mom is under home hospice care, she lives every day with incredible pain in her groin area, Ive taken her to multiple specialists to try to find out what is the source of the pain and no one can seem to figure it out. I do know it is not in her head . She is 80 yrs old and living a life of misery. I cannot take care of her as she needs 24 hr care and to quit my job would do nothing more than make us all homeless. One of my brothers takes care of her, he is on disability. I wont go in to specifics but this is less than an ideal situation. Mentally abusive. I want her in a nursing home but my vote does not seem to count. When I call her or visit she begs for one thing. She wants and prays to God daily to take her home , she wants to die. My dad passed away 3 yrs ago this past October and they were married 57 yrs. she wants to join him in heaven. This whole situation is heart wrenching, I love my mom and I dont want her gone, I want what time she has left to be happy and pain free but somehow this just cant seem to happen. I need wisdom, guidance, I pray for her and for me. I dont even know what Im praying for anymore. As horrible as it sounds sometimes I wish she could go peacefully in her sleep so her pain would end and she could be with my dad. How do you respond to your mother that begs to die ? So many things that I know how to fix but I dont know how to fix this....
