My mom just called me and told me one of my former teachers, Mrs. Brozowski, passed. Her funeral is at 11 this morning at Community Funeral Home. My love and prayers to her family and especially her daughters, Tonya and Robin. Robin graduated with me. Mrs. Brozowski taught French and English. I had her for both classes. I learned very much from her. After high school some years late, I saw her in Walmart. She gave me a hug and pulled my picture out of her wallet. She said I was one of the only students who gave her one of my senior pictures. When my Papaw Freddie died, I cried all morning in her class the day after the funeral. We were studying Robert Frost and she made me read a poem in front of class. I said that I could not because I was too sad. She said that I would read the poem. After class she pulled me aside and told me that she was not being mean b/c my Papaw had struggled for four months and I had missed a lot of school. She said he is not now, Amy. You have to focus on your studies. I picked you because your reading flows and to also to maybe make you smile. I read The Road Not Taken. Love to all. God Bless.
