My morning started with Jesus before the alarm sounded, before I opened my eyes my thoughts were of Him. I thought of how the world is full of those that would separate Jesus from His Father because of the history of Gods wrath in the OT. People want to separate God of the OT from our God of the NT. They say they have a hard time loving a God that destroyed people with the flood, or with the death of the first born male child of the Egyptians when Moses tried to free the Jews, or with the destruction of all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. This God that instructed Joshua to kill all the Cannanites in the promised land and all the inhabitants of Jericho. This all knowing all understanding God that does not fit into our understanding of the whys of life or the God of love taught in the NT. I wonder why we as a people try to compartmentalize God into separate Gods, bad and good? We all have questions but only with a loving discerning heart full of love for the one true God can we go to Gods Word and search for the answers. It may or may not be there because I feel that man was never meant to know the WHYS of GODS WILL. What I do know is that without Gods all knowing will being carried out in all things in the OT that we do not know what this world would have been like or how we could have suffered or how long we would have had to live without the Holy Spirit in our hearts brought to us by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God owes us no explanation nor do I seek one.
