My mother is a retired physiatrist and when I was just a kid she would take me to work with her where she was on staff at Brookdale Hospitals Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department in Brooklyn for like over 30 years. It was there where I was first introduced to the world of physical therapy. She would also take me with her to her private practice in Sheepshead Bay where I would see her perform EMGs and NCVs with patients. One of the gazillion things I have to thank her for is introducing me to not only the profession that I am passionate about but the commitment and compassion I observed over and over she had for her patients... My mom is a Leader I aspire to Be and the template from which I am constantly learning and growing from..... What did I do for my mom this morning? What any good son would do.... I made her bacon :)
