My mother is happy here. She remembers much. She is telling me right now how she met Robert Plant at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit in 1969; Gracie Slick in 1967 in Grosse Point with Susie Le Point the wife of Ric OCaseck (Susie was her best friend in high school); she met Rod Stewart when he stood behind Jeff Beck in 1967; Jimmy Hendrix in 1967 sat next to her backstage on a bench and that was the night he played with his teeth in Flint Michigan; Eric Clapton in 1967 at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit when he told my mama you have beautiful blue eyes. Can I have your phone number? And then she says Of course Ted Nugent and The Grateful Dead were from Detroit so we were partied with them and Jerry Garcia is nicer than you would think he is...And of course Bob Seger at Silver Lake in Michigan tried to pick me up when he sang that song...what was it...I will think of it Oh these are the moments that I wish I had documented with my daddy. My mama and daddy were legends. Oh and I met Pink Floyd at the 5th Dimension in Ann Arbor! What?... God I love my parents. Truly. And I mean truly love my parents. To all of those doubters. My anthology is a respect of their journey. I love them so much.
