My music history professor. I had exactly zero appreciation for her at the time. Strike that... I did (do) appreciate the stories I can tell as a veteran of her classroom. Like when she would drop the needle on a record and the static would be so loud everyone in the classroom knew to take cover before the music would blare... by which time she had shuffled halfway across the room and then had to frantically make her way back to the stereo system and turn it down. This was nearly a weekly occurrence. I learned later that she had been born with clubbed feet and was never supposed to walk. That and many other lifetime accomplishments made her a complete waste on a bunch of teenage undergrads. RIP, Dr. Mackey. I hope heaven rewards you with classrooms of students who appreciate your joy of music and teaching.
