My name is Gonzo Lara, I am a police officer for the LAPD assigned to Mission Area. On July 13, 2014, I was challenged by my dear friend Katie Gustaveson to take part in the Law Enforcement ice water bucket challenge. Katie, I am honored and I accept it to honor the 62 law enforcement officers whom have lost their lives nationwide in the line of duty so far this year. I will also take this challenge on behalf of my sister Sandra Zourek, from LAPD Rampart Div. My sister is currently fighting cancer and cannot participate. I will also donate $20 to the Officer Down Memorial Project at ODMP.org for both my sister and I.
