My name is Itzcuauhtli (Eat-Squat-Lee) and I am 11 years old. I am on a silent strike until world leaders take action on Climate Change... ...By world leaders, I mean us. We have waited too long for our so-called leaders to take action. We now face a crisis that threatens all of our futures. Despite my activism, I felt like I wasnt being heard. So I stopped talking completely on October 27, 2014. The so-called world “leaders” are failing. Now, its up to all of us to lead. Each one of us has to be a world leader. If you feel the way I do and are ready to be a leader, join the December 10th Worldwide Silence Strike. Commit to be silent for a day - or even an hour. When you break your silence, step into your role as a leader and speak up about climate change. We will continue to organize worldwide actions leading up to the United Nations Climate Summit in Paris in December of 2015. Ready to lead? Heres how you can start: TAKE ACTION and sign up for the December 10 Silent Strike for Climate Action here. PLEDGE to go from Silence into Action and be a Climate Leader for future actions. Sign the pledge. JOIN by wearing a green band and sharing a picture on social media with the tags #ClimateSilenceNow and #EarthGuardians - I will post (or reblog) on my ClimateSilenceNow Tumblr. STAY TUNED for more worldwide actions leading up to the UN Climate Summit in December of 2014 DONATE to the Earth Guardians so we can keep doing what were doing. I hope our silence amplifies the voices of youth everywhere calling for climate action now!youtube/watch?v=AZYRaAQ6ouM
