My name is Lorraine and I married my soul mate 8/8/03. Yet we have been together since 5/30/91. I was 17 and he was 21 we dated as just friends until I turned 18. I have always been open and honest with my husband even on our very first date. I told him I didnt want to waste his time or mine, if we didnt want the same things out of life. I wanted to someday be a wife and a mother. In other words I was telling him I believe in long term relationships. We tried for many years to have children but God had other plans for our family. At the end of 2007 we were blessed with our first daughter. She was placed with us as a foster child. We feel in love. I truly believe in love at first sight. She had our heart at first sight and will always have our heart. She has brought our marriage, our love, our family so much tighter. And so many more beautiful memories. My husband has been my true soul mate. He has always been right by my side. Through losing my father, losing one of my sister, Through a cancer scare. He has always been my rock. As all couples, you have to work hard some days to keep your marriage strong and together. Its not always been roses and chocolates. But we always work through our troubles, our problems and never go to bed mad. After 23 years of being together, we still hold hands, we still steal kisses. We want to show our daughter what a healthy, happy, loving marriage looks like. And to see him be a father to our daughter. Oh that brings tears to my eyes on a daily basis. He is the most wonderful father a child could ever ask for. we celebrated our 11th year of marriage some months ago. I promise you if you talk to me in 20 years from now if God willing and we are still here on Gods beautiful green earth, we will still be together. He is my heart and soul, my BEST friend. He makes me laugh even when im trying to be mad.. We know each other inside and out. We have had a WONDERFUL 23 years, I cant wait to see what the next 23 hold for us. Marriage is beautiful.
