My name is Marty Karlin and my wife Geri and I are the proud parents of four children, Lauren 18, Brittany 18, Cassidy 15, & Ryan 12. Ryan is a big Chicago Sports fan, he loves hanging out with his friends, and he has Duchenne. In 2009, shortly after Ryan was diagnosed Geri & I started Rally for Ryan. We just completed are Sixth Annual Gala Event, which is held in Naperville, IL every November. All money raised goes to Duchenne research. We have been blessed with having so many people support our cause every year, and getting the community we live in to understand Duchenne has helped us to raise the awareness level of Duchenne. Rally for Ryan and Cure Dale’s Duchenne will be matching your donation to help advance combination therapies in Duchenne. Ultimately it will take more than one Drug or therapy to help put an end to Duchenne, so we feel this is a great way to start understanding what the best combinations will be to achieve that goal.
