My name is Mohammed Hassouna, I am 24 years old and I am a graphic designer and artist from Gaza. Je mappelle Mohammed Hassouna, jai 24 ans et je suis un artiste designer de Gaza. Just like any other Palestinian I have been suffering from the occupation and the wars inflicted upon Gaza. During 6 years only I have lived through 3 Israeli wars on Gaza. Comme tout Palestininen, je souffre de loccupation et des guerres menées contre mon pays. En 6 ans seulement, jai vécu 3 guerres israéliennes contre Gaza. I love art work and design because I believe that art is the source of our strength, it helps us to overcome all crises and it keeps us steadfast against all the hardships we are facing. Jaime lArt et le design et je crois que ce sont les sources de notre force. Cela nous aide à surpasser toutes les crises et souffrances que nous subissons. My next exhibition will take place in Germany in February 2015 under the title Gaza51 referring to the 51 days of heavy bombardment on the Gaza Strip. Ma prochaine exposition se tiendra en Allemagne en février 2015 sous le titre Gaza 51, en référence aux 51 jours de bombardements intensifs sur Gaza. Some of the posters to be presented were designed during the last attack on Gaza in summer 2014, when I was forced to work under very difficult conditions, listening to the news on the local radio stations and at the same time listening to the sounds of warplanes and artillery, which did not stop for a single moment. I worked with my laptop, but during power outages, which continued for long hours during each day, I was left without internet connection isolating me from the outside world and creating many obstacles while designing these posters. Je travaillais avec mon ordinateur, mais durant les pannes de courant -qui duraient de longues heures chaque jour- je me retrouvais déconnecté dinternet et de tout lien avec lextérieur, et la réalisation de ces posters était une véritable course dobstacles.
