My name is Rosie and I am running the 50th Rotorua Marathon on the 3rd May 2014 to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Christchurch. Last year my 12 year old cousin William was diagnosed with 3B - advanced Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Over a period of six months William and his family travelled back and forth from Timaru for chemotherapy treatment. Ronald McDonald House provided some stability for William and his family during this difficult time. I know running my first marathon will challenge me physically and mentally however this is nothing compared to the pain and suffering children like William go through everyday! This is my opportunity to thank RMH Christchurch on behalf of our extended family for everything they have done to ensure William came home safe! Your donation to RMH Christchurch, will not only help give me the incentive to cross the finish line but to give hope to those strong and courageous children who fight cancer and illnesses alike everyday! I want to know that in years to come this facility will always be there for your family and mine! Please remember that no donation is too small and your generosity is greatly appreciated! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Rosie :)
