My name is Zoey Im 6 months old and i have been diagnosed with an Ectopic ureter which is a congenital anomaly of the urinary system where the ureter is inappropriately positioned to the bladder , resulting in urinary incontinence and chronic urinary tract infections. I have been part of Cat Tails & More non-profit organization since i was six weeks old along with my other ten siblings back in May of 2014! I am the last of that litter and i havent had any luck finding a home, especially not now that i have been diagnosed with this issue . I cant be up for adoption until i have surgery to correct my urinary incontinence since no one likes a dog that cant control their pee and continues to have UTIs even though i really dont have any control over my urine , As you can imagine this is difficult for me to live with. I will be seeing a specialist at Specialized Veterinary Services of Fort Myers . The estimated cost of my exams, ultrasounds and surgery will be about $3,500 and that is with a discount since Im part of a non-profit 501c3 organization. To begin with i need to have a CT scan to determine where exactly it is my abnormality is which costs $977.76 , once that is figured out i will need to raise the rest of for the surgery which is estimated at 2,429.60 Cat Tails & More will be doing lots of fundraisers so that i can get this surgery done and hopefully have a home of my own one day !! Other than urinary incontinence I am in complete health , fully vaccinated, on flea,tick,heart worm prevention, dewormed, spayed & on a great balanced diet that shows in my beautiful black coat !
