My nana passed away yesterday. A lot of people have trouble dealing with loss, myself included. Many like to think that their loved ones go to a better place as a means to cope with the fact that that person is no longer around. As far as Im concerned, remnants of my nana have been immortalized in the family she has left behind. Shell forever be a part of my loving mother Susan L., my sister Nicole, and subsequently, myself. (among many others) A very large chunk of who I am as a person is due to not only her life, but her nurturing of those that raised me, and helped to raise me. My world is a little darker, because its hard to not feel like I could have done more to enrich her life before passing. So instead, Ill live every day remembering that any semblance of love, fulfillment, or success, is due in part to this very woman. I love you nana.
