My neighbor lets her German Shepard looking mix and pit bull looking mix dogs run loose sometimes. So today when I went to get hero from outside those dogs were in my yard staring hero down. They were each 5 times his size or more. The shocking part is that my neighbor was standing in her yard watching them. She never called for them, never came to get them. Just stood there. So I proceeded to run inside and grab the .22 from the gun safe and stand outside with it until those dogs left my yard. Thankfully Hero is fine and my neighbor got my subtle hint and went to get her dogs. I will not let my pup get hurt simply because my neighbors are not responsible dog owners.
