My neighbors across the road own 70 acres of woods, and they keep a few campers there and come up on the weekends several times a year. Theyve been clearing some of the land for the site of a future house. I noticed them here today when I got home around 2:00. Three fire trucks just pulled up, sirens blaring, and apparently there was a small forest fire. Looks like they put it out and are walking through the property to make sure they got it all. Im wondering if they didnt properly put out a bon fire earlier. They were probably burning trees and debris today as they cut up fallen trees. Glad we have a fire department right here in Lake! And glad somebody noticed the fire and called it in. Good job, fire fighters! And thank you!
