My new Horseshoe Bend, AZ Image.....shot this over the summer during my journey-- processed over the last few days. Horseshoe Bend is in Page, AZ. About a 1/4 mile walk....first leg pretty step in flour like sand, then its downhill.... in order to capture the entire bend in your shot you must use a very wide angle lens, and be dangerous close to the end. The evening I was there, a few photographers had even carried and climbed up onto ladders.... a bit aggressive in my opinion but ...okay...(laughing). The coloration changes throughout the year, with the suns axis to the canyon. This is the Colorado River below just after it leaves Lake Powell. The walk back is nearly all uphill in this flour type sand....a good workout but very doable for all -- Love this hike!! One of my personal favorites for sure..... neat place.. ISO 250 1/15 @ F8 with 2 stop gradient filter on top to temper the sunset. Polarizer removed- to shorten my exposure time a bit.
