My new approach to deer hunting. In the past, whenever I - TopicsExpress

My new approach to deer hunting. In the past, whenever I climbed trees for work, I consistently climbed on the split-tail system. Its a great system, but it required a lot of physical exertion to perform a long vertical ascent. I just bought all of the gadgets and gizmos needed to convert over to the SRT system. Its easier to set a line high in a tree, and it requires very little effort - once you get the rhythm right. Now, I will be able to get into the thick CRP areas where I hunt, climb 40 up a big tree in the middle of a bucks thick cover, especially on trees which are no good for deer stands, and look down upon their travel routes and bedding areas. I will no longer be limited to a deer stand for shooting positions. I will be able to kick around the canopy and keep my scent high above any nearby suspecting deer. The only bad part is finding my downed deer in that thick cover and getting him out of the woods.
