My new pet peeve is quickly becoming over processing. Ladies and gentleman, other than adjusting your B&W blending, (or color tweaking if color), maybe adjusting highlights and shadows to create the style or look you want; street photography really doesnt require a ton of processing. Slapping on tons of blur, special effects, etc, etc... does not make a shot more interesting and at a certain point, to me, doesnt even make it street any more. If you use a high pass sharpen technique, a pixel at most is all you need. When your adjusting exposure, shadows, highlights, if you start to see halo at all in your picture then back it off. If you have a correct exposure in the first place, you should even need all that. And please God, never, ever use or process an HDR effect for street. /endrant
