My new years resolution was to do more sculpture and true to my form, Ive left things last minute. Didnt have the energy needed for it earlier in the year but last week I had the privalage of working with one of the best in the business, Hannah Sofaer at Portland Sculpture & Quarry Trust, who gave me a masterclass on freehand stone carving. Having little expectation besides a vague idea shes managed to take my 3D game (and art in general) to completely new levels, saved me with this piece numerous times as well. Ill show you what I ended up with finally once Ive figure out how to get it out my car! but heres a few random clips at different stages.
