My newest camera project happened accidentally almost. I put in a super lowball esnipe bid on a 1970 Horizont Soviet panoramic camera on eBay in October and it came through at $77-. This is a swing lens 35mm film camera that covers 120 degrees like the Kodak Panorams I have been working with but also has a much larger lens and many more shutter speeds. It also takes up to two dozen photos a roll vs four on 120 film for the Panoram. But though built like tanks they suffer from Tinman-like stiffness of the clock-like works and light leaks due to deteriorated seals. Thanks to the internet I spent a day installing two bits of window gasket foam. This costs about $200- to have done but now I present to you the test roll- the inner sanctum of the Alpine Shop where all the good stuff happens.
