My newsfeed is 24X7 filled with ever increasing rape incidents in India and around the world. While most people, out of anger, are voting to hang the rapists but it may not be the right solution. I vote to hang the conditioned mindset that creates a rapist. Hanging the rapists is trying to treat the symptoms. The real disease lies deep down in our mind. The problem is not just in India or certain cultures. Out of a dozen countries I visit on my talk series every year, I see the objectification of women all over. We are the real problem. Within us, resides the real solution. We may be our most pervert while watching a supermodel wearing almost nothing but when it comes to make noise, we do that without any inhibitions. In a land of Durga and Kaali, the real respect should start within home toward our own mothers, sisters, significant others, and friends. The same respect will transform out and create a tiny change.
