My next article is about negative impacts of selfie addiction. Here are some of the excerpts: 1)Three college going friends lost their lives this Monday when they were run over by the speeding train in the railway tracks of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. They were attempting to take a “daredevil selfie” as close to an oncoming train as possible in order to share it on social networking sites. 2) Apart from physical injuries, there are mental and psychiatric effects of selfie-holic behavior. 3) One of his patients, Danny Bowman, used to allegedly spend up to 10 hours a day taking hundreds of selfies to capture the perfect photo. The boy had stopped going to school, lost around 12 Kilograms and fought with his parents regularly. He tried to commit suicide too. 4) Psychologists are telling that a selfie which is shared on Facebook, which is often seen by different type of people, results into a decrease in intimacy in personal relationships. 5) Taking single selfie only per day, sharing selfies only with close friends or relatives and building a habit of taking selfies of success and achievements only and not the looks will help one cutoff the selfie addiction.
