My next destination for tonight is Greece! I’ve always heard about the beauty of the Greek islands, but never thought I’d be able to see them. Then in the spring of 2008 my younger daughter decided to do a semester abroad as part of her degree in writing at the Hellenic Institute in Paros, Greece. I talked a friend into going with me for a ten-day visit. Several years later I decided to write a story set in Paros. The beautiful beaches and sunny weather were perfect for a romance. And when my daughter told me about the way Greek men traditionally treat their wives, I knew I had my central conflict – a half-Greek archaeologist names Francie meets a half-Greek private investigator named Alex. Both have seen how an autocratic husband can drain the life out of a woman who has goals in life. I really enjoyed writing Aegean Intrigue - here’s the lovely cover!
