My next dry pastel: Arcturian Mafia Okay, come on- Its a joke on Amish Mafia. (Wish List: Oil/acrylics not made with petroleum products, thick large dimension paper to practice with, and a few small canvas.) I havent tried to talk to our broke Dutchman yet, but I can tell you what being a painter-starving-artist feels like, in its older classical sense. I know you all want me to very literally paint in the classical sense- Yes, so do I. I simply cant do it straight with watercolor, which is all I have.. And Im not wasting resources (meaning the paper) on work that looks mediocre. Mining the Akash.. Kryon talks about it as a go-to for self-healing. Its figuring out who you were, or who you ARE, since your Akash is current (Doctor Who running around.. Quote by someone I WILL see face to face- Were all doctors; we just forget.) Then it involves going through the trauma of that life. The most I know in a general sense about Vincent van Gogh is from the Matt Smith Doctor Who, which I was very happy to see air more than once- with little idea why. Thats so nice.. of the Doctor.. To show him all his work in the gallery, and the guide naming him, in his humble opinion, as the greatest artist of all time.. Thats so nice of the Doctor.. I would mumble to myself. Hed died not selling a single painting, and mostly being completely made fun of, from what I can understand. While I might not talk with him, I can tell you what it feels like to be a painter. Part of the reason I was mumbling about how nice it was that the Doctor would show him what had happened to his work was because he cared about being a real painter, one by trade. He did what he wanted (Sounds so familiar.) Not selling any paintings, wanting it to be his trade, it was painful- more than painful. A *painter* is very particular with what they are doing, especially if they are the starving classical kind. They might sit there and stare at a canvas, stare outside, stare at what colors are left to work with or what combinations exist.. Have friends nag them to paint.. But no, rampaging around like Sherlock Holmes, just the right inspiration must strike. (And what meticulous painter would waste all those resources if they werent sure they were going to do it right?) Having hardly touched acrylics (or some petroleum free version with the same medium type effect please..), I still know what to do. Paper, practice with the feeling of it. The feeling is the most important thing. (Ah, van Gogh does talk..) Then, the same way my *emotions* (he has a lot of emphasis on this) triggered me to just start attacking paper the way he had at times, suddenly releasing the still-present, latent talents. He also painted what he wanted. He gives me this idea, People have suggested to you to look at what I painted and the landscapes. Youre not ME anymore, you are YOU! (very independent.. Well.. the Dutch do tend to be that way and as crazy as Germans..) So look AROUND you, or within you, for the ideas. You simply wait, you look for the inspiration, and suddenly, it will just come upon you, and youll know exactly what to do!
