My nine year old has been called a terrorist 6 times in 2 days. I quit wearing a head cover after Sep 11 not because I didnt want to wear it, but because my kids safety was at risk. A big truck tried to run me off the road with my 3 kids in the car. I was screamed at on a number of occasions. I was detained for 6 hrs in Austin for walking into the post office with it on, they said I was suspicious. I wasnt allowed to call my job or my family. Caleb Buquet told me many stories of kids calling me a terrorist to him when he was as young as 8. My name is Alkhalafat. Im white and dont wear a cover but am randomly searched every single time I enter an airport. Not scanned, I am taken to a room and searched physically. I am Muslim. I am not a terrorist.
