My number was 8. 8 things you may not know about me. 1. I have never ever had a broken bone. 2. I love dragonflies! When I was in elementary school and even junior high they use to land on me and I would carry them around even onto the school bus haha. I still think they are super interesting creatures and fascinated just looking at them until I found out they could pinch you with their tales and ouch dude that really hurts. I do not carry them around anymore, but my son does his highest amount so far is 5 at the same time. 3. I love music! It moves me, it makes me happy, it makes me cry, it helps me paint and dream! My very favorite usually has lots of guitar but I even love banjo, I lean towards jazz with a bit of funk with a blues kicker as long as the words arent too depressing! I always listen to every single word! I still also own the very first guitar I ever had that my Aunt Cheri gave me! I take very good care of things that I value as sentimental. 4. I almost drowned when I was a young girl. At the last minute as I was sinking to the bottom of Rainbow Lake after some guy shoved me off my inner tube for the second time... my mom turned around swam towards me and that is the last thing I remember before hacking and coughing on the shore after she rescued me. After that I learned to swim very well and in High School held the school record for Sophomore year in 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle. I love swimming to this day, but quit swimming competitively. 5. I have never seen one in real life other than in an sea life aquarium until I caught one this summer in Ninilchik while fishing for halibut, but I am terrified of sharks! Every shadow I see in the ocean even on beaches in Hawaii with reefs surrounding it eeek gads I practically hyperventilate. 6. I have wanted to be an artist ever since I was in first grade and my painting was chosen one of two from my class and school age group to be displayed at the Anchorage Fine Arts Museum for an Alaskan and Native Arts Cultural Display Exhibition. My whole family went with me it was so much fun! I fell in love with art after seeing that painting hanging in that beautiful museum. Now I am a professional artist and get to paint every single day. I finally have my dream job and I am very thankful! 7. I have a daughter who we knew something was wrong for almost two years when she was in jr high and high school and doctors kept telling me it was asthma or Epstein Barr syndrome well no it turned out to be a rare in young teenagers third degree heart block and thank goodness I trusted my gut because I kept asking question until finally after miraculous circumstances that were not easy to discern we figured it out and my daughter is one of the youngest people to have a pace maker installed. The leads came out after the first surgery because of how young her heart muscles were and they had to put her under again and reattach them. I knew something was wrong again before they even tested her, they started listening to me a whole lot more intently after that. Scariest couple of days of our lives. Amazingly the very best doctor in the nation happens to have decided to come here to practice here in Alaska, he is from the Mayo Clinic and my daughter is alive today thanks to God and that amazing doctor! 8. I love God, my family and my friends! I live to love and encourage them. If it takes my last dying breath and you are discouraged or dont know how valued and worthy you are I will try to find a way to get that point across to you somehow. I love to encourage and I love to speak words that do so positively to most everyone in my path every single day! Blessings and a sweet night to one and all!
