My old shipmate Kevin Farkas challenged us to read this article. I did. I would be interested in another ship mates take on this, that is Gary Gillette, for me the intellectual incoherent nature of both Ben Norton and Malala are beyond all comprehension. For these people who can see the vile practices of both the terrorists and any administration that would issue drone attacks on civilians to ultimately turn to socialism is as confusing as a man with a shower cap asking for ice cream at the ATM. the reality is that socialism has brought poverty and strife everywhere it has gone. Malala is too young to truly understand this horror, yet Ben Norton has no excuse. In addition I find the opening emotionally charged rhetoric of the article to be the stuff of bloviators like OReilly and unfitting for a true intellectual examination. As a human who has examined the blessings of liberty I must say that neither the left the right nor the socialist of our time seems to understand the crux of the issues we face in these times. Violent thugs must be faced with overwhelming force, not pilot free aircraft, true war must be reserved for the most dire of situations, governments must be forced out of our private lives, including our private trading, individuals must be free to produce and their productivity must not only be theirs to keep but law enforcement must swear to preserve the right to produce and own the products of our labor. these principles bring prosperity, not sophomoric tirades like those found in the works of Karl Marx
