My older brother was a supervisor at Norfolk Naval shipyard, had almost 30 years in navy ship repair and new construction when he passed away a few months back. He was always in the shop that handled engineering...steam turbines, generators, reduction gears, basically everything from reactors on down to bilge pumps...I wanna get a in memory of vinyl window sticker to honor him, and found this 70s era patch for the shop he was in... wanna use this as a template for the sticker...do yall think it would be disrespectful to use the rating insignias on it? They represent what his shop did/does on the ships. He never served, but he did give the navy almost 30 years keeping Atlantic fleet ships ready to go to sea and fight..The patch Im talking about is below
