My one laying hen (EE) was in and out of the nest box several times this morning before she finally laid her egg; is that a normal behavior for layers, new or old? She also has been laying her eggs in the late afternoon, but today was done before 11:30 this morning. (She has only laid four eggs so far, total). I have four other pullets that arent yet laying; I think two (BB & cuckoo Marans) are close, as theyre both squatting for me pretty frequently, but the other two (EE & BB) are just hanging around for free food & shelter. As a reminder, these are my first chickens, so its all a very new experience for me.
