My only Disney gripe: Is it really necessary for you to give up - TopicsExpress

My only Disney gripe: Is it really necessary for you to give up your fingerprint electronically to a corporation like ABC/Disney to get into its parks? There is no justification for Disney to have an electronic representation of my fingerprint in its database. None. They tell you that its for your benefit - that if you lose your wristband, you can be verified and get another one. Thats BS. Just showing my ID would be sufficient for that. Even if it were somehow the only way to hedge the risk of a lost wristband, is that justification for letting them have your fingerprint? They have no right to it, even if there were no risk of the Russian mob hacking into their system and stealing it within minutes. So I refused every day and never gave it to them which resulted in our entry line into the park being snagged every morning while a supervisor had to be called to look at my ID as apparently the regular employees have no authority to look at a drivers license. There is no reason for corporations to receive your address, phone, email or especially your fingerprint in exchange for a transaction that requires nothing more than money for goods or services. Whats next, a DNA sample?
