My opinion on the minimum wage raise: If the wage increase includes everyone, then cool. The critics says that it shouldnt happen because the price of living would rise and businesses would suffer therefore making some cant afford their workers. Also, the critics says that those who are making $7.25 an hour are lazy and need to invest in themselves an education and get off of foodstamps. They say that those people choose to make minimum wage. I say that kind of thinking is slave mentality. Businessmen know how to reorganize and profit, thats the making of business. Secondly, no one can pay rent and all their bills on $7.25 an hour, something will have to suffer if they could even think about furthering their education. With that being said, there are some with Master and Doctorate degrees who work at minimum wage jobs part-time, aside from their goodpaying jobs,to afford the cost of living. As far as the footstamp issue go, you have to work and/or go to school to receive it so yes, the minimum wage increase should happen.
